How does the fridge scan work?
You take a photo and Rummage uses AI vision to recognize the ingredients, then adds them to your kitchen. Photos are used to detect ingredients and are not kept as training data.
Do I need an account?
No. Rummage works right away with your data associated with a device identifier. You can optionally sign in later to sync across devices and join a household.
Is my data private?
Your kitchen is stored on Rummage servers and associated with your device identifier by default, rather than requiring your name or an account. Usage analytics are sent only if you opt in, and the app includes controls to export or delete your Rummage data.
What does it cost?
Rummage is free during the beta. Some AI-heavy features may become part of a paid plan later, but the core experience stays generous.
