How does the fridge scan work?
You take a photo and Rummage uses AI vision to recognize the ingredients, then adds them to your kitchen. Photos are used to detect ingredients and are not kept as training data.
Do I need an account?
No. Rummage works right away with your data associated with a device identifier. You can optionally sign in later to sync across devices and join a household.
Is my data private?
Your kitchen is stored on Rummage servers and associated with your device identifier by default, rather than requiring your name or an account. Usage analytics are sent only if you opt in, and the app includes controls to export or delete your Rummage data.
What does it cost?
Rummage is free to use: 5 AI scans to build your kitchen, then 30 rounds of meal ideas and 50 recipe searches every month — and your kitchen, grocery list, and saved recipes are unlimited. Plus removes the AI limits and adds weekly meal planning; Pro shares all of that with up to 6 people in your household and unlocks family dinner votes.
